Diversify yourself with Africana studies minor at the University of Mount Union. The interdisciplinary program is devoted to the 历史, 文化, 社会, and political legacies as well as the subjective consequences of the dispersal of African peoples around the globe. You will learn through focused and critical study of the people, 文化, and institutions of Africa and the African diaspora including the impact of slavery and colonialism as well as attitudes about race and ethnicity, offering you a multifaceted perspective on problems confronting a modern multiracial, 多民族的国家.

The program provides Mount Union students with exposure to the experiences – 历史 and contemporary – of black people(s) while teaching the analytical tools and skills necessary for rigorous and 文化ly sensitive analyses of those experiences.
